EmbeddedWP lets WordPress handle the form while the surrounding page can live somewhere else. The setup wizard gives you a quick way to try that workflow without starting from an empty form canvas.
1. Choose the right starting point
Tell the wizard whether you have a blank WordPress installation dedicated to forms or an existing WordPress website. Choose the existing-site path if the installation already runs pages, posts or a shop. Do not apply a dedicated-site lockdown to an existing public website without reviewing its effects.
2. Choose your form software
Select the supported form builder you want to preload for testing. Available demos can vary by builder. A demo does not include a paid builder licence: use your own licence where a feature requires one.
3. Load a demo
Load the available example and inspect its fields, validation rules, submit action and notification recipients. Replace sample addresses and copy before accepting real enquiries. A demo is a starting point, not a production-ready business workflow.
4. Follow the dedicated or existing-site path
For a solo form site, review the wizard’s lockdown option and load a demo form. For an existing WordPress website, use a form you already have. Keep a way to sign in and manage the installation after setup.
5. Embed and test
Use EmbeddedWP’s generated embed on a test page. If your setup restricts parent websites, allow the exact parent origin, including HTTPS and the correct hostname. Check the form height, mobile layout and any confirmation or parent redirect action.
Before going live
Test required fields, invalid email addresses, successful submissions, email notifications and anti-spam behaviour. Confirm where submissions are stored and who receives them. Test the full browser-window thank-you destination separately from validation failures.
